Posted by Lance On the trip back to Dallas last evening, I pulled off and took a closer look at the FJ55. It definately has rust on both rear wheel arches. The rockers looked clean (from the outside), and the front fenders and rear quarters were clean. The roof didn't have any significant rust, but the rain gutters looked rusty. I couldn't tell if it was surface rust, or cancer. The front bench seat needs reupholstering. The spare is mounted in the back along side the driver side rear. The headliner looked good. It had an homemade front bumper, and the original rear bumper. Overall, I'd say it would make a good vehicle to restore, if done correctly, and the price was right. The biggest challenge will be correcting the rust in the rear wheel arch, as that will have to be hand made since no aftermarket repair peices are available to my knowledge. Keep in mind I didn't get to closely inpect the inside, or test drive it, since the place was closed. I've seen FJ55s that were much worse in terms of rust, so that's why I'd say this one is worth restoration. Lance
