Posted by Kevin Sorry that this took so long for me to post, but I've been rather busy lately. If I am correct, your truck has the NP203 transfer case, which is a full time 4 wheel drive T-case. Converting the NP203 to a part time set up is a good idea, but there is a better way to convert your truck to a part time set up. Have Sam's Off Road do a 203/205 doubler conversion. This takes the low range part of your existing T-case and connects a NP205 T-case to it using an adapter. This will give you 2 times the crawl ratio and twice as many gears than you had before. Go to this web page to read an article by Peterson's 4 Wheel & Off Road about this set up. http://4wheeloffroad.com/techarticles/drivetrain/131_0505_tran/ This article does a good job explaining the advantages of the double T-case set up. Besides, replacing the chain drive part of the NP203 T-case, with a gear driven NP205, eliminates what is considered the weak link in the NP203. Now in the E-mail you sent to our club members, you asked about converting the front axle to manual hubs. It would be good to do this when you have the part time 4 wheel drive conversion done. If you do the double T-case or plan to run tires bigger than 35", I would recommend changing over to 3/4 ton or 1 ton axles. Just use a front axle with the manual hubs when you do the change. This would reduce your risk of breakage out on the trail. The question of "posi or locker" often depends on how the truck is used and personal preference. I prefer a locker in the rear. If the truck is a daily driver, you can learn to live with with a full time locker in the rear. But, you don't have to deal with that if you have a selectable locker, like the ARB, in the rear axle. For the front axle, I recommend going with a selectable lock. A full time locker in the front axle can make steering difficult while in 4 wheel drive. If you go with a posi in the front, I recommend the True-Trac and for lockers I recommend the Detroit and the ARB. I know that these differentials work very well. Good luck with your build up. Bye, Kevin
