Well, we finally pulled off our December meeting today. Unfortunately, we had quite a few regulars which were "no-show", do to various conflicts. Still, there was 8 of us that made it to Ollies Restaurant. In attendance was Deano Kothe, Bret Van Tuyle, Kevin Yeager, Randy Underwood, Steve Thomas, myself, and long lost Mark Truit and his son! Thanks guys for taking time out of your busy schedule today.
Deano distributed the Brimmer 2004 Calendars to those in attendance. Please e-mail him if you need yours mailed.
Randy showed us his newly acquired 85 FJ60 that he bought in Arizona several months ago. He's got a nice rig, which will serve him well!
We discussed the 2004 Poker Run that we traditionally hold in January. We decided to try Clayton, OK this year, since it's closer to most of us than Hot Springs. Mark will be obtaining more details as to Mr. Freighling's property and access, and we'll get another e-mail out as the date approaches. We've decided to hold it the weekend of January 17-18th.
The Spirit Creek trail abuse problem was discussed again. Randy shared with us possibility of donating funds for the Forest Service to purchase signs, or producing these signs ourselves. Official "forest service" approved format will be necessary, and, the actual wording of the signs must approved in advance by the Forest Service Supervisor. Randy will get an e-mail based discussion going on the best language, and we'll take our best ideas to the Forest Service to obtain their approval.
I was able to finally see my recent acquisition of Morgan Fletcher's 1963 bone stock FJ40 this morning before we went to Tulsa. It was delivered to OKC on Monday. It's nice truck, and just needs a restoration paint job. Check out the pictures....

Finally, I promise to finish up the second part of the August 2004 trip to Colorado, and get it to Mark to put on the website this week. I apologize for the delay, but work comes first.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!
