Posted by Bret on 1/27/2004, 9:18 pm We are a Toyota four wheel drive club, and extend a special invitation to other Toyota four wheel drive owners, but anyone's welcome to come join us on the trails when we have a run. You may have heard that some of the older trails in the Clayton area have been closed, and this is true (get involved and fight trail closures!), but new areas have been opened up on Mr Frieling's property and there's some great wheelin' there! He charges $10 per day, and requires that you sign a waiver. This not an official event, but will just be a group of folks getting together to have some You must have seat belts for all passengers, and front and rear tow hooks as a minimum. We'd also recommend a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, a CB radio, a tow strap, and any other recovery gear and spare parts that you might want to bring. There's no charge for the event, (except for Mr Frieling's $10), and no registration (except for Mr. Frieling's), (you'll have to buy a poker hand to have a chance at the Raffle prizes, but it's not required), but it would be helpful if you'd let us know you're coming by filling out the information on our website. Also, if you (or your local parts store) would like to donate some kind of prize to the Raffle (or you have some old spare parts you'd like to get out of your garage) bring em! We'll be selling poker hand chances for the Raffle prizes, and the grand prize is a brand new Ramsey 9500 Patriot Winch!!!!! We'll meet at the main gas station (the one next to the Post Office) in Clayton at 8:30 on Saturday, January the 31st and drive out to the trails. Click on the link for more information: http://www.okoffroad.com/gcc/events-pokerrun-04pre.htm This event will be held rain, snow or shine (unless it's freezing rain).
