I'm not sure from your post if you attempted oral stimulation or in other body areas. But I'm currently working with 2 little ones, just under two who match your description, and I had luck with both of them using a large "tickle bug" vibratory tool, but started on my own belly, leg, hand, and then theirs. Then I did the top of my head, or I let them do it to me, and I worked my way to their face. I am currently using a z-vibe in one kiddos mouth, the other has not let me in yet, but it's been a huge improvment over about 3 weeks. An OT consult may be warranted if it hasnt already been done. I also have luck using echoey things, like echo mike, paper towel tubes, play farm silo, cardboard nesting blocks, oatmeal containers, etc. I make "funny" noises in them and then either hand it to them or just place it down in front of them and see what they do. Good luck. These kids are so hard sometimes. Pam Marshalla's apraxia book is short and cheap and helpful!
