I was just wondering what other SLPs opinions are regarding the efficacy of Sara Rosenfeld Johnson's TalkTools for articulation therapy. I have found that these gadgets may be useful for those with dysarthria, but not for articulation. Along those lines, I work with another speech therapist in my school district who is a VERY strong believer in oral motor tools for artic, and I have my doubts. I'm afraid that parents will be concerned with our very different approaches. Am I missing something regarding the oral motor tools... are they truly useful??? Or, should I stick with my convictions????
