I have a 14 year old life skills student that has recently moved into the district. He has a very high voice quality. His foster mother reported his voice has had this quality for the past 2-3 years. There was no mention of his voice in his IEP. I have requested he be seen by an ENT. I am currently having him lower his head and try and produce vowels at a lower pitch. He is able to do this about 80% of the time. WHen he raises his head, he is unable to produce the lower pitch.
Any ideas?
