Posted by SSS on 5/10/2007, 3:20 pm I have a first grade girl in artic therapy. She just transferred to my school. Her voice is so low and monotone, you just can't believe that voice comes out of a little blonde headed girl! It doesn't sound raspy, breathy, or hoarse...just LOW. Hearing is fine, I checked. Her voice sounds like a stereotypical MR kid's voice would sound (to give you an idea). I talked with the mom about it and she says she's never noticed it before. I've had some other speech pathologists in my district listen to her, and they couldn't believe her voice either. What should I do? I don't know if an ENT could help her or not. Ideas?
