I had a little boy who has apraxia and tactile issues as well. I began the visits with the same routine everytime. We would start out playing with textured balls. I had a whole bag of different kinds of squishy balls, vibrating balls, koosh balls etc. Then we would do playdough. He hated it at first, but has now come to love it. I wouldn't have him use toys with the playdough just his fingers - we'd make balls, snakes and faces in the dough. Then I moved on to oral motor toys. I made a personal bag for him of whistles, kazoos, b-day blowers, pin-wheels and a vibrating toothbrush. With the toothbrush I would try to have him brush my puppet Elmo's teeth first and then try to brush his teeth. Over time he was able to let me move the toothbrush around to brush is gums, cheek, teeth and toungue. We would then play with colored feathers by putting them in the palm of our hand and blowing them off. Next we would focus on only one sound for the day - "b" and would play with other toys making sure to use as many "b" words as possible - "bear" "baby" "ball" "bee". Then his mother bought him a sing langage video to watch at home and now his language has improved immensely!!!
