There is an 5th grader that was dismissed from Speech at another school last year. He will not talk at all in the class and his teacher is concern about him as he goes to middle school.His former therapist stated that he would not occasionally.
I informed the teacher that I would contact his mother and gather some background information from her. Also, I told the teacher that selective mutism is a psychological-based disorder. I intend to give her more information soon.
Does anyone have suggestions?
