My little boy now 6 1/2 years old still has sppech difficulty. With all the speech therapy and early intervention classes, my child has undergone, I find little improvement. I think it is my child becoming older that has something to do with any improvement. Not so much the early intervention classes.
Being diagnosed with mild autism, my child greatest hurdle in life is the inability in making any speech unless persuaded which is almost everytime. Even then, it seem like the struggle is still there and very unclear.
I am fearful for the future for my child. Seems that taking ritalin or concerta and attending all intervention classes have very little effect.
