I love this book called Sequence Plus which has three to six part line-drawn stories. You can photocopy them, then the student brainstorms for as many words as they can think of that go with the story which have their sound(s) in it. They can take it home and practice at home, too. It's a great book because you can work on language, vocab and artic all at once.
