1.5 year old Overstuffing and not chewing - techniques??

I have a 1.5 year old client I am seeing for language/speech who also has difficulty with overstuffing and not chewing his food enough. Mom says he used to choke some, but not as much anymore. What are some techniques to address the overstuffing/chewing issues?
