I had a student with CP that had a similar issue. I have him a birthday blow whistle (the kind that unfolds as you blow on it) and I would hold my hand a certain distance to see if he could hit my hand with it and then once he could do that I'd have him sustain it for the count of 2 or more. I've also had students try to blow a cotton ball across the table (either with their mouth or with a straw). They get one blow and then I mark it with masking tape. Each turn they try to beat their best distance.
