I have a 5th grade boy who exhibits hypernasality. Can't get him to an ENT at this time. Hearing is okay I think--waiting for the school to do a more complete assessment. Oral structures appear typical, his voice is just hypernasal. He has other speech errors (e.g., l, r, th). He is hard to understand at times due to the hypernasality and the misarticulations. Working on /l/ and /th/ with him at the moment. Any suggestions on where to go in tx with him? Any and all ideas/suggestions are welcome! THANKS!
