I am fairly new, and my client is just over 1 year old. I assume techniques like blowing bubbles, sucking etc... would work well with him, but is there any way to evaluate his oral motor abilities or is that really relevant? He is able to make the back sounds, but is having trouble making the forward labial sounds (and labial-dental) such as those in "ma ma", "da da", "ba ba" and "pa pa". Any suggestions for eval as well as oral motor therapy techniques?
