hi all. this is my first time working as an slp and i am baffled by a middle schooler. he is 12 and is very hard to understand. he has more air coming out of his nose than his mouth. when he talks he sounds like a cleft palate child, but there is no medical evidence of any problems. my supervisor recommended doing res. exercises along with oral motor exercises, but i'm not seeing much improvement. due to the hypernasality he is very hard to understand. any suggestions/advice would be great because i'm clueless. thanks. :)
