I have a student who is nasal on /s/and /z/. She was totally unable to say the /s/. I worked on the /t/ sound lengthening it to become an /s/. She can now say the /s/ in isolation only. However, she is unable to carryover into syllables or words. She can discriminate the /s/ sound from other sounds in isolation and in words. I am working on placement since these are the only sounds she has difficulty with.
