I have an adult client with severe dysfluency. This is my first client - I'm in grad school - I am stuck on what to do during our first session. He saw a SLP at our clinic twice over the summer - enough time to take a series of assessments - but then not come back for treatment. Because the assessments are relatively recent, I don't want to retest him, but I am feeling stuck on how to make an interview last 50 minutes to fill the whole session. And ideas on different things to do during the session that will help me informally assess his fluency and get to know him as a client?
