I have given older students a newspaper/TV Guide and a highlighter. I then tell them they have 5 minutes to find and hightlight a certain number of words containing their target sound. I ask the students to practice the words they highlighted in sentences. I also asked students at a carryover level to read passages from the paper and chart correct productions of the target sounds.
