Tucson, Arizona (September 8th, 2009) – UMP West Modifieds, Presented by Barnett Harley Davidson, swing back into action this Saturday night at USA Raceway. However, they will be required to wear their tops as Racers for Christ presents the Fastor Pastor Hornet Challenge.
The RFC Hornet Challenge will put several Pastors from all over the state at the wheel of a race car as they battle it out for bragging rights. Churches from all over the state will be represented as members of the Clergy race to see who will be the “Fastor Pastor”.
RC Whitwell will return from his mid west swing looking to return to his winning ways. However, he will be faced with some stiff competition from several drivers who have sharpened their skills in his absence.
Brian Clark will lead the charge against Whitwell with Robert Adams, Dane Jorgenson and Cody Alverez all looking for the $1000 top prize.
Terry Belcher Jr., USA newcomer for 2009, will also join forces as he looks for his second victory at the super fast USA Raceway. Belcher, who won the August 29th feature, has grabbed a win and one top five in only two outings at the Tucson track. No stranger to the Modified world, Belcher will be looking to take home the cash and capture his second straight victory.
The Ump West Modifieds will be joined by Super Stocks, AMA Modlites, Dwarf Cars and Mini Sprints for a complete night of action. General admission tickets will go on sale at 5pm for only $10, racing will begin promptly at 7pm
Suite Access Passes which allow race fans the opportunity to enjoy the races from USA Raceway’s VIP Suite are also on sale for only $20.
