At 10:40pm, the races were finally underway as the rains made for a muddy mess but the employees and fans of the Speedway were not about to be beat as the Modifieds, Limited Late Models, and Super Trucks all got their turn at rolling in the track before the Road Grader was brought out to skim the top layer of goo off and what was left would make for a very fast race track that would see action until the final checkered flag dropped at just past 2:40am.
Take “2” as the green flag fell on the A-Main's with the Southwest Super Trucks getting underway with the 2 of Joe Ware jumping to the early race lead but the green flag would again be replaced by the caution as three trucks would get tangled in turns one and two. Back underway, the battle for second would heat up between Dave and Nita Deetz as the two drivers would go side by side with the 1 of Dave Deetz grabbing second but that was not enough as the 1 dove to the low line to grab the race lead from Joe Ware. As the 1 of Deetz began to pull away from the field, the battle for third through fifth was a good one as Walton Kyle Sr., Brady Alberson, and Nita Deetz all swapped position on the very tacky Southern New Mexico Speedway but after a great battle, the 241 of Brady Alberson would spin; bringing out the caution. Back to green flag racing, the 1 of Dave Deetz would begin to pull away yet again as the battle further back in the field would see Lloyd Duffy and Mike Day in a good battle as the battle for second heated up with Garrett Alberson taking second but the 1 of Dave Deetz was to far gone as he would win with Garrett Alberson second, Joe Ware third, Lloyd Duffy fourth, and Mike Day rounding out the top five.
The Vista Serena Homes Limited Late Models were underway and the 4t of Tom Thomas showed the way with Mike Hudson running second as the field ran three wide on the opening laps of the Late Model A-Main. With the field running hard off of turn four, the 3m of Manny Baca would door slam the outside wall and Roger Owens would spin in turns one and two; forcing out the caution. Back underway, the 44 of Christy Georges would run the high line but the track would run out of truck but she would gather it up and the field would stay green flag racing as the 82 of Sherman Barnett, after winning just a few hours ago in the Xtreme Modifieds at White Sands Speedway in Tularosa, New Mexico, would make the move to the race lead as the caution waved for the 5m of Eric McNutt. With three laps to go, the green was out and the 82 was gone as the Sherman Barnett claimed two A-Mains at two track and two different classes all in the same night.
The Rick’s Performance Center Street Stocks would be the third class of the night and from the start, it was would be a race to the caution as it would be out often on what was becoming a very deceiving and tricky racetrack. The 55r of Rick Rosales would grab the race lead with as the caution wave yet again but not before the 78ss of Shane Sanders made the move up to second. On the restart, the 55 would hold the field to the cone, getting a good jump on the field as the 8n of Nicky Rivera would take the fourth position away with the battle for fifth would see the 3LT of Leland Harrison going to high and losing all kinds of positions before the caution waved again. To the green flag and Rick Rosales had something prove as he pulled way form the field who ran two and three wide at time but the races would come to scratching hault as the 81 of David Coy would get squirrelly into turns three, claiming Shane Sanders who was running second along with championship hopefuls Vanessa Robinson and Donovan Flores. With the track cleared, five cars in all would be done as the green flag flew but the caution would again wave and the as the field slowed, the green rear bumper sitting in turns one and two would be that of race leader Rick Rosales, sending the 55r to the back of the field. With the 55r to the back of the running order, that would hand the lead to 3 of Patrick Beach with Steven Villegas second and Joseph Granado up to third in his best run of his rookie season. With two laps to go, Beach was pulling away as the battle for second heated up but as the checkered flag fell, the 75 of Steven Villegas would hold on to second with Joseph Granado third. Mike Rosales would run from the back of the field to grab fourth with Leland Harrison rounding out the top five.
At 2:00am, the Barnett Harley Davidson DIRTcar West Modifieds would go four wide in their salute to the race fans as Steve Jones led the field to the start of thirty lap of racing and pulled away as several drivers would push the cushion a little to hard on the start with Holly Jones spinning after making a move to grab second. On the restart, the 67 of Steve Jones would again pull away as the battle for second through fifth would see Jake Boles grab second over Christy Georges who would now battle with the 2s of Stormy Scott as behind them, the 9 of Jimmy Ray and the 111 of Bumper Jones would go side by side in a good battle but the 111 of Jones would spin in turns one and two, leaving the 40x of Brent Tibbs with no where to go as Tibbs slammed the 111 with the right rear tire. As the green flag fell, Steve Jones would diamond the corners as he pulled to a good race lead but the caution would bring the field back to a single file restart as turns one and two would be blocked top to bottom with a big five car pileup. To the restart the 44 of Christy Georges would grab second from Steve Jones after losing the lead to Jake Boles but Boles would have to contend with Georges as the two would run side by side for the race lead with Georges grabbing the spot, and leaving Boles to contend with the 9 of Jimmy Ray. With the top three in a close battle, it would soon become a closer battle for the top five as Royal Jones and Paul Banghart would battle up to Jimmy Ray who ran in third. With Georges showing the way second would now be challenged by Jimmy Ray as Ray would take the position away from Jake Boles who now had his hands full with Royal Jones and Paul Banghart with Jones taking third, leaving Boles to battle with Banghart. To the front of the field, the battle for the race lead was heating up as Jimmy Ray would dive to the bottom but could not grab the race lead as Georges was able to hold the bottom better than Ray but with only three laps to go the fight was about to get good. To the high line, Jake Boles decided to go from broke as the J7 would not run the bottom anymore and as the Alamogordo driver took it in high, the car stuck and out of nowhere, the J7 was up to third and was not done there as the green flag waved with two to go and Boles would up to second and looking at the lead. Into turns three and four, Boles to the top, Georges to the bottom and at the line Boles showed the way but it was not to be as the 44 drove up the track, slamming Boles into the outside wall, sending the J7 flying in the air as the 44 drove under Boles and slammed into the outside wall; taking the front straight warning lights out at the same time as the 44 too went airborne before coming to a stop in turn one, next to the spun J7 of Jake Boles. Boles would drive away after giving Gorges a little bump to show his displeasure and Georges would go away on the hook. With only one lap to go, the 9 of Jimmy Ray now showed the way and that is how it would stay as Jimmy Ray would win as the battle for second through fourth heated up with Royal Jones side by side with Paul Banghart but Jones would grab second with Stormy Scott edging Banghart at the line for third with Greg Jenkins rounding out the top five.
