Maybe you were seeing something about the 9/19 USLMA race when we only had 12 cars.
Of the registered 22 Late Models, 19 qualified. 1 broke and did not run, 1 had a bad motor and only took the green flag for the main and left, 1 did not make it to qualifying so started scratch.
21 cars took the green, 1 left quick, 3 others left the track in the first 1/2 of the race. The remaining 17 cars raced hard and fast with the win going to #56 Danny Burson with a 1.5 second lead on the hard-charging 42 of Ronnie Hults (Centennial, Colorado).
Fastest lap was 19.973 (72 mph) by #74 Dan Savage.
Qualifying quicktime was posted by Bruce Yakey at 19.349 - which leaves Jim Sikes' 19.106 Salsa track record (2006) in tact.
