Food for thought on next year. As a promotor or track manager it is almost impossible to please everyone. However, going forward I think that it is best that if you make a mistake during a race and let someone continue in a spot, they now own that spot. ie- this year in EP under a yellow our officials let the 3s car work on it during the race. when he pushed off he went to the back and then ran third. we then had a protest that they shouldn't have been allowed to work on the car. The protest was right as far as the rules, but the officials let him go to the back and run the next 25 laps and he got third. We should have black flagged him at the time, but we didn't therefore he was paid for 3rd.
I am not trying to stir things up and I appreicate what you all are trying to do. Emotion usually takes over, but it is up to the officials to try and do the right thing and the right time.
AND IT IS REALLY HARD TO DO.
I commend you all on your love for the sport and for being so dedicated to get out there and make this happen. Especially for free!
