WOW! I stepped away from racing for a few days and everyone has lost their minds.
I would like to send a THANK YOU to the pit guys for the Las Cruces drivers (7, 8, and Anyone else I forgot).
I was the LUCKY girl to watch the HOT PIT area. These men were very respectful and well behaved. They listened when I had something to say, they followed the rules and more important when they got angry they were very RESPECTFUL and acted like gentlemen. When they felt an injustice had been done to them; I did NOT hear language that would make a SAILOR blush. They followed the rules to a T. They also did this usually in 2 laps.
An example: Two men can work on a car in the hot pit area. These drivers had 2 men working on the car: changing a tire, pulling off fenders, and adding fuel. NASCAR Pit Lane could not compare to the skill, drive and sportsmanship these men portrayed.
These men and their drivers are winners in my book. These men really love the sport of RACING.
My dad and I look forward to racing with them in the future.
It is a shame that the FANS do not get to witness the action in the HOT PIT Area. I think that should be something to think about for the next big race. Every fan should get to experience the worried excitement in the HOT PIT area.
LAS CRUCES CREW MEMBERS and Drivers; we thank you for the sportsmanship and winning drive you showed us on Saturday night.
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR.
