No boxes?
That pretty much sucks.
The reason they went that route down south is,guys were buying used cars that had MSD boxes, they complained about having to buy a soft touch rev limiter when they could just chip thru the box.
Sold a car to a kid couple Weeks ago...I left the msd in it.
Makes sense...huh.!?
I talked with Royal couple Weeks ago...he talked with MSD,they told him the 6al offered no performance advantage. So it was implemented into the rules.
To save racers money...novel idea,huh?
Anyway, they should chip them here, level the playing field.
Case in point,
Baxters putting together a Cruces style x mod for a friend.
The guy won several features@ Sandia last year, left unchipped,it could get ugly.
Think about it,stout crank,6in.rod motor, some guys are in the 6.50 gear range already. They'll just twist em and dominate.
They went thru that down south..learned a lesson an d chipped them.
I don't understand the logic of not having uniformed rules throughout the state, especially w/Cruces..
...there's a reason they get 30+ a show.
Hopefully clearer heads prevail...so that the class can grow.
Your looking at 20+ this season here...if they don't screw it up...
