USMTS in Amarillo...Sat.

This Saturday night...
USMTS national points race in Amarillo.
Jason Hughes,Ryan Gustin,Johnny&Stormy Scott,Kelly Shryock,Derick Ramirez,Rodney Sanders...
They seem to always draw a stout field...and the place will be packed.

Do u know what time it starts? I asked Usmts but they havent got back to me yet and Amarillo's website dont say anything

I was told by someone that races there...7.p.m.sharp.
You lose an hour on the drive out...
You get to see a ton of racing,
They run cyclones,street stocks,sport mods (20+per div.)&the USMTS Mods usually 30 to 40 cars.
....last year the show was over by 10:15.

If it is the same facility, we ran my modified there in / around 2002 with a mod-stock motor we barrowed from Pat Ryan. It was a $5000.00 to win thingy. They took us to school.

Never thought you could go that fast on a $350.00 claim motor.
I am thinking they may have been spending a bit more than that on their mills though.

Is it next to a junk/wrecking yard? (That is a crude attempt at humor - aren�t they all?)

We do know it is next to a Waffle House!

Nice facility no doubt.

We went to this race last year and it is well worth the drive. Kelly Shryock chasing down Ryan Gustin and then walking away was Awesome. Plus there's a Waffle House right down the street from the track, so you can't ask for much more then that.

Leave it to Ash to know there's a Waffle House close by. We love you Ash! You could call home every now and then. I have to log on to Oval to see what my boy is up to. The Evil One does not miss you but the rest of us do.

I haven't been to Rt. 66 since around 2005, but Man they pulled some crowds, 3,500 per night wasn't unusual!
