Dusty is still fighting, his body temp and brain temp were still higher than what the doctors wanted, to be considered stable. They did find some damage in/on his CT Scan and MRI which the full extent is still unknown. He is taken off of sedation every couple hours and "pestered" by the team here in the Neuroscinces ICU he continues to attempt to fight back with them. They have recently gotten his temps to go back down and he is dropping in both tempature and in brain pressure, Dusty for the first time was able to squeeze his wifes hand when she asked him too, as well as move his arms up higher than he had anytime previously without sedation. He did this without pain. Swelling is going down, this is the best news we have had yet.

A contribution account has been set up at bank of albuquerque for Dusty. Tellers can accsess it by looking up Dustin Ford or Roseanna Ford. The only new news on Dusty is that he has been cleared for surgery.

Gary, I know it may be a little late but can you & Robert shay get together and place some kind of Notification at the NAPA Speedway Ticket office as a Donation point, maybe a small note to fans to Fans above or around the window about Dusty and a collection bottle so me & other Fans can Donate when we pick-up our tickets?
Thanks don they are going to announce how to make contribitions, it will be easier for the track, but I did talk to shay and really appricate the idea and thank you for your concern and the idea.
Surgery has again been postponed. He is stable, however prolonged laying, as would be needed for surgery, again caused high brain pressure. The doctors have a plan to combat the brain pressure. I can not begin to explain it, I just know that it has to do with CO2 in the brain/blood and are using different machines to attempt to stabalize it. As for any other updates Dusty is just a responsive as early this moring/late last night. All other systems are stable and will heal with surgery and time. Dustins brain is the focus right now, if any permanent damage does exist, we do not know to what extent it will be at this time.
Sorry for everyone who gets all of their information about Dustin hear, these next few days will not bear much more information, this is going to be a long recovery with little information for the next few days. Last information we have heard is that his brain has begun to drain on it's own, this is amazing news for 2nd day brain trauma, tomarrow day 3 is expected for the swelling to be at it's peak. In the morning they will do another catscan. For the next couple of days we will not have much more information. Should we get any I will let you all know. Thank you all for your prayers and support. Dusty is a an amazing person, happy, funny,a loving brother, amazing husband, and a great father. We are a long way from out of the woods, but Dusty is a Ford, hard headed and stubborn. Like a typical Ford he is in the shop, but with enough prayers we can get him going again! By the way thank you for giving Erica some space she has a lot on her mind right now and is really only updating direct family members (that alone is 30 people)!
Thanks for all the updates on Dustin's condition! Our thoughts and prayers are with Dustin and the rest of the Ford family, in this rough time. If they need anything just let us all know.. The Lynch Family
