So over the past few days Dusty has been able to control his brain pressures on his own, Doctors are happy with this. He still can’t be laid down fully without pressures going up but they feel in the next few days he will be able to. Uncle Duck opened his eyes on Friday it’s a blank stare but a sign of more to come. Under sedation he moved his arm up to his chest on Saturday and even gave us a really good cough where a lot of mucus affecting his lung came up. He also began to move his head a little when the nurses where brushing his teeth and cleaning his mouth. Then on Sunday he began to move his eyes a little just side to side and just slightly. This morning when they began to get Uncle Duck ready to go to the O.R. to clean his wounds and his erector set leg, his nurses turned on the lights in his room. Dusty was a sleep then his pressures rose slightly as he opened his eyes, squinted, turned his head and moved his arms a bit, obviously not happy about being woken up from slumber with a bright light. Erica his wife told me he hates when she turns on the light in the morning when its time to get up at home too. So all in all we look forward for more improvements in his health, and this should be the week for them. So if you’ve been praying, hoping, wishing, or just thinking good thoughts about Dusty, please don’t stop because it is working.

Glad to here progress Gary of Uncle Duck hope he gets better soon we all thank you for the updates
1st, it is my way of helping, to try to keep the racing community updated on my cousin, and I thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. The Ford boys and me have always been close for how distant cousins we are (it's like 3rd or 4th cousins) but being around the same age, going to the same family gatherings, and the races kept us close. 2nd, we are all excited at every little bit of hope Dusty gives us that he will make a recovery, even though we do not yet know to what extent that recovery may be. We still have so many unanswered questions at this point in time. Hopefully this week will give us some of those answers, not all but some. Thank you all for your support during this long journey.
