A big thanks to Robert and all the supporting cast at the dirt track who deserve some kind of award for "The greatest track turn around" or something like that. The hard work you all put in this year has paid off. You have proved there can be quality racing here in ABQ. I was one who did not think it would ever be a place that I would be proud to call my home track. Not any more I am now happy to invite racers and fans alike to attend our races. Well after another great night of racing with a good track and a well run program I am disappointed this season is over. Next year will be great and with the quality racing we have consistently had I am sure the boys down south will start joining us on their off nights. Great job Napa Dirt Track Staff

For the most part your right Bill, I think 8 classes was a little much, I also think the Cruisers should have had at least two heat races, somebody cheated 3 cruiser drivers out of 40-35-31 points for a second heat race, hell they had 16 cars, is that not enough for two heats? Now by the formula posted on Napa's website it should have been enough for two heats, but the mighty sprints that have not supported the track all year like the Cruisers have had 3 heat races. Sure glad to see those guys get treated well, to ensure it’s not just the inflated purse that brings them back. I saw what they got paid last time, trust me it was disgusting, I mean I felt violated just seeing half the check, let alone to be holding a check with more than two big zeros and saying that was wrong and it needed to be twice that much! Let’s just say they got more to win that regular show than Aztec is paying to win the Floyd, combine the nights and your still only half way. I guess it’s like the defense budget though; it's only a problem when the people find out where their tax money is going and why their roads are not fixed.

There is no way to compare a sprint car to a cruiser that I can see, I have worked on both. Cruisers are beginners that are trying to learn to race and the points should be secondary to the racing itself. Sprint cars are there with their experience to put on a race for money, they know how to race and they pay for it in cash. The sprinters have supported racing all over the state and bring a different aspect and competition to NAPA that I look foreward to seeing again.

Gary, there were only 13 cruisers racing Saturday night. The cutoff for car count in racing one heat race in the Cruisers division is 13 or less cars. If there had been 14 cars, there would have been two heat races. If you feel you need any further explanation please feel free to email me at jbertetto@gmail.com. Thank you.

Well I must have miscounted then. My point was not that the cruisers were in a championship battle, on the last night for points. So I guess in my mind the people that are there every week deserve equal opportunity for points since it was championship night. Either way 14 cars is the cut off for one heat or two, I think that is a bit high but I don’t get to make the rules do I. I miscounted the car count then.

Call me crazy, I would much rather watch the classes and drivers that support the track each and every week than the sprint cars. Maybe it is the simple fact that I have my favorite local drivers that I am rooting for or maybe it's the fact that I will always be a stock car girl at heart. Either way, when I am staring at the grandstands from the pit stands, I don't think I have ever seen much of a difference in attendance when the sprint cars are there. I'm just saying...
