THE LOUISIANA MOMS QUESTION AND ANSWER BOARD


First of all sending a big welcome to all the "new" pageant moms on the board and hello to all you "oldies but goodies". We are so excited to have new and fresh faces join the pageant community!! This post is to give some pointers on how the mom's board works and how best to get the information you are seeking regarding pageants.

Tip #1 Before posting a general request, please scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and be sure to check the archives. You should also click in to each post and check out the banner and information there.

Tip #2 When requesting pageant information such as a form or information, please contact the director via website, email, or phone. Lots of directors are not able to check the boards daily, and most of the time the banner or website can answer all of your questions.

Tip#3 Requesting "numbers". Although most directors will give out numbers before a pageant, it is important to remember it is a privilege to receive this information. Directors are not obligated to furnish this information, nor to split groups. In the past when this has happened too much, directors stopped giving this information all together. Let's try to keep this to a minimum or at least contact the director directly. After all, numbers really don't matter. Each child will perform to the best of their ability regardless of the number of children in their group.

Tip #4 When purchasing clothing or other items on the board, please click in to the post and read carefully. Some sellers are directing you to a link, a website or asking to be emailed privately regarding their purchase. Simply replying to the post without following directions can cause a delayed response resulting in someone else getting that awesome outfit first!!

Tip #5 This board is not meant to air out differences. All problems should be taken up with the director in charge of the event or party involved and NOT brought to the moms board. We try to keep this board very positive and informative.

Please understand all of these tips are meant to keep the board running smoothly and efficiently. Too many posts cause important information to be pushed to the archives too quickly, it then becomes more difficult to find. By doing a little research and following instructions we can all do our part to keep the board as informative as possible. Thanks again to all the new and old pageant mom
