With this surgery they want you up and moving. They started physical therapy the morning after my surgery, and they had me out of bed and walking. I am at the five week mark and am walking without a walker or a cane. The harder you work, the sooner it gets better. I think that a person who is motivated can get back to work at the 8 week mark. I was going to go back then, but decided that I would like to have a couple of extra weeks to be able to go to my gym and organize a work out plan for me. Of course, there is another income from my husband which helps me to be able to do that. I am glad I did it, as there is NO PAIN when I walk and no fear of my knee giving out. This has been a good decision for me !! If you have any other questions, just let me know.
