I certainly can relate. I have had bad knees my whole life and was told I needed replacements about 10 years ago. I was almost completely disabled for a long time. Back when I lost my weight I worked so hard to recover my knees to a point where I was pretty much pain free, then I had my truck accident that set me all the way back to 0. It was heartbreaking and I got really depressed about it. I won't take anything for it so I have just learned to deal with the pain. It really gets to me when the barometer drops below 30, but most the time I can manage ok.
You do not want to take the prednison if you can avoid it. It is hard on your body and really puts weight on you. Naproxin is hard on your heart so that is no bargain either. What alternative treatments have you tried? What have they said is the cause of your pain?
