It's all mind over matter; drink your shake while you are cooking dinner or you can chew gum while cooking too. Then you won't want to put anything in your mouth. You can try using Hoodia to kill your appetite for the first week or so. You can let others cook the meal and go out for a walk during dinner hour. Call a friend, read a book, start scrapbooking...anything to keep your hands busy. I painted and re-decorated two rooms in my house while I was SSing. It kept my mind off of food.
It gets easier once you make a real routine out of it. It becomes a new way of life. Just get through one day at a time. One hour at a time...whatever it takes....You know you can do it...you are stronger than food. I still tell myself that everyday...."I'm stronger than Food"
Carol used to cook a bunch of meals all at once and then the family would just have to re-heat them each night.
The afternoon and evening is the most difficult for me too. Once you get into Ketosis is really is so much easier. ...It takes between 3-5 days to get past the tough part.
It is so rewarding once you do it!!!!
Keep Trying ....never give up
