Flecainide is what I take. 150mg 2 times a day in addition to toprol XL 100mg. What started all of this was when I was put on verapamil and it made my condition worse. I have a sodium channel block not a calcium channel and it made things worse. The flecainide was wonderful at first because I was in so much pain (chest pain and black outs and the swollen throat making me feel as though I were choking) but for the last month, the medicine has started to not work as well and I am having dizzy spells and chest discomfort again. I did not want the ablation because I had been told that it might not be successful, but my cardiologist said that my condition will only get worse. I started with palpitations about a year ago that went into PVCs that would not stop.... I would have 30,000+ in one holter monitor episode. It was terrible. So the med was a godsend until it started to not work so well. I'm hoping mine works because I have been told that it is very painful. Sorry yours didn't work. How do you keep your energy up while on the med and does it affect your vision... I can barely drive!!
