We are all so excited about dropping weight and dropping clothes sizes but there are other important things that make all the difference -
When I was on holiday it was a novelty to be able to wear the bath towel, which not only went round me but overlapped and tucked in!
The tray table on the aircraft would not only go down but there was space between me and the table! Another novelty. The 6" spare length on the safety belt - another novelty.
Last night when I couldn't sleep ( wonders of ketosis!) I got my jewellery box out and had a try on.
I have a gold signet ring I got on my 18th birthday which is a size 8.5. I can actually wear it! My first engagement ring is a 8.5 and it fits! I could hardly believe it! I have another ring which my friends at College bought me for my 18th, a size 7.5 which is still tight - but will be able to wear it very very soon!
My ring fingers prior to starting CD were a 10.5, sometimes an 11. So - everything has shrunk!!
I had a watch bought for me for my 21st birthday - a gold Seiko - and a gold gate bracelet. Haven't been able to wear either for 18 years at least. They both fit beautifully. My late Dad bought me the bracelet so it is precious to me.
The last thing he ever bought me was a dress from M&S which is still hanging in my wardrobe - a US size 12 - which I will get into and will wear - just for him. He passed in 1987
Just keep going - it is soooooo worth it!
Sometimes it is the little things that make all the difference
