I got an article in one of the health newsletters I get and it was discussing Agave Nectar and whether it is all it claims to be as far as it being a healthier alternative to other sweeteners. There seems to be some debate on this issue so until I can get some more concrete information I am going to stop using it for now. I will keep you all updated on what I find. In the mean time I do NOT want to encourage anyone to use artificial sweeteners! None of them are safe and can be quit harmful so for now I am going to just use a regular tsp of brown sugar in my oats. 16 calories and not enough sugar to effect blood sugar levels.
