Thank you for sharing your story because almost the same thing happened to me. I had just started Cambridge (way back many months ago) and my enabler husband said, Honey, do you want something to eat, I'm going out to the store? I said, "No, dear, I'm on Cambridge".
Well, he went out and brought back a pizza. I tried, I really did, but the aroma from the pizza "GOT ME", so I said to myself, "well it's only one piece". The next thing you know I had eaten half the pizza!!
That wasn't bad enough. I calmed down and kept beating up on myself for having "been weak". To add insult to injury, the next day I was in a hurry to get to work. I squeezed into this black skirt and ran to the SUV to tear out of the drive way. Well, I never made it because as I sat my fat butt down in the driver's seat the entire skirt ripped along the seam line and my rear was totally exposed. I cried and cried and blamed my weakness for eating the pizza and for giving in to temptation.
I have since found out that food has no morality. It is just our relationship with it. Since that time, like Pam, I try to focus on the long term goal and know that Cambridge will take me there and that skirt will be TOO BIG for me in a few months, anyway.
But, I hear you and I feel your pain. So, just get back up, brush yourself off and kick some serious butt TODAY. Remember, "the butt you kick today, will be considerably less tomorrow".
