Spam issue POLL

Lately we have been having a lot more spam postings then usual. I contacted boardhost and they said that the only way to avoid it is to have everyone register. I have resisted doing this over the years because a lot of our visitors are not completely comfortable with this and I didn't want to discourage anyone from joining in. So I would like everyone's opinion. Is the spam annoying enough to start registering members, or are you all ok just ignoring it? Would you feel comfortable registering to join this board?  yes  no  don't know
