RANT! Posted by Deb K. on 3/8/2008, 10:30 am 12.208.220.X O.k. my right knee has bothered me for about 5 years now, but I just recently started having back pain a few months ago (from exercise) which landed me in the emergency room on New Years Day. So they give me prednisone & neproxen for pain. The prednison helped BIG TIME but I only got about 10 pills. I have been working out faithfully since Feb. 1st & now my back & both my knees hurt! Is this it??? Will I have to take prednisone for the rest of my life?????? SO MAD! I finally am serious about getting physically fit & my DAMN body wants to go to Hell on me. I will be 41 in June. Anyone else with these types of problems??? I could just cry!  Post a Response

My gym has an indoor pool and aquasize classes??? I'm sorry you have to deal with these issues...keep your chin up....at least you have Cambridge !!!!  Post a Response

I was almost completely disabled for a long time. Back when I lost my weight I worked so hard to recover my knees to a point where I was pretty much pain free, then I had my truck accident that set me all the way back to 0. It was heartbreaking and I got really depressed about it. I won't take anything for it so I have just learned to deal with the pain. It really gets to me when the barometer drops below 30, but most the time I can manage ok. You do not want to take the prednison if you can avoid it. It is hard on your body and really puts weight on you. Naproxin is hard on your heart so that is no bargain either. What alternative treatments have you tried? What have they said is the cause of your pain?  Post a Response

The Dr. where I come from only treat the pain & not the cause.  Post a Response

My knees keep popping, my back is cracking and my vision is going. However, I keep going and do whatever it takes not to lose sight of my ultimate goal. I didn't do too well in Aruba, but Cambridge will get me back on track.  Post a Response
