now i'm back here, in this situation again! my life has changed a lot, i'm more outgoing now and have a lot more friends so i'm used to going out, drinking, eating etc which is why i'm going to find it so much harder this time around! Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

86.158.30.Xhi, well i got through my first day!!!!!!! 
and doing well so far today! just not looking forward to the weekend, its not so much eating 'real' food but the alcahol, i feel this is going to be my biggest weakness!! tempted to drink, having just a couple, but dont want to mess anything up and obviously i know drinking is not allowed!!!! i sound like a right alcoholic but i do feel its more of an issue with me not being able to drink than it is not being able to eat!! (at the weekends anyway!). and special occassions, i'm not looking forward to this weekend at all because its my brother in laws b.day and they are going out for a meal on friday which i am supposed to be going to 
but i cant go and they are not exactly happy with me about it!! but i am going to do this!!

Welcome to the board....Don't worry about sticking to it, just tell yourself this is really what you want, food will always be there and that this is what you want to do right now. You may have to for go some of your socializing for a little while until you are well into ketosis. Your friends will understand. Focus on the NOW ....you know this works!!!

Yep-Showing up after the meal would be a good way to stay on track. And instead of having a drink you could order a club soda. Focus on being there for your friends birthday and not the food aspect. YOU can do it!!!

i've got friends b.day on fri night, think they are a bit angry i wont be going for the meal, which i feel bad about, but i really want to do this, and like you said, food will always be there etc and i can always meet my friends after the meal.
