168.213.1.XThank you for the birthday wishes. We had a whirlwind of a weekend. My daughter Lauren has been very sick. She had the flu last week and it turned into a full blown infection in her throat near her tonsils. We had to take her to the E.R. on Saturday.
Basically from the swelling,she couldn't swallow, and was having trouble breathing. Very scary for her and the family.
They had to put her on an IV for dehydration,predisone for inflammation and morphine for pain. She is home resting now but is living on pedialight ice pops,predisone,codene,and an antibiotic with a very long name. She will be on antibiotics for 10 days. We are keeping an eye on her to make sure it isn't a cyst that has to be drained, so far so good. In the past this would have set me off to eat to deal with the stress,glad I have that under control,right!
Off subject- make sure to sign up for the challenge. I think you and I are the ones competiting for the maintenance challenge. So I am gonna whip your butt, LOL, joking!!!
