Thanks for making me welcome and for your words of encouragement - how has the diet been for you? I've just read Pam's story on the website and she lost 125 lbs in 6 months which is amazing. I have 84 lbs to lose but never imagined I do it as quick as that. I love the quote - I'm going to copy and enlarge it and put it above my desk. Thanks - Lorn

24.164.10.XI am in maintenance for over a year,but I still go up and down 10- 15 lbs. When I started out 3 years ago I was a size 14/16. I got down to a size 8P,but right now I am in my 10's. I think some of it has to do with all the changes I am going through,pre-menopause,weekends,LOL!! I always make sure to have Cambridge as my nutritional foundation. I also make sure to exercise and drink plenty of water. - Re: Lorn

86.31.39.XYou've obviously done really well - good for you. I am going to have to try very hard to re-educate my brain. Having a good night in or out is centred on having a lovely meal and fine wine. That's become the standard way I chill out so it's hard picturing the next few months denying myself. I hear people saying that exercise is a good way to chill but right now that sounds like my idea of torture! I clearly have some big changes to make. Nice to talk to others along the way that have experienced similar feelings though. - Re: My first day

Nice to speak to you, thanks for replying. I will take your advice. I was planning on weighing myself at the end of my first week which will be next Tuesday morning - I'll post how much I've lost. Im finding that I am unusually thirsty during the day so drinking the water isn't proving too hard right now. Only drawback is having to plan my working day around loo breaks! 68.196.13.Xi lost 20 pounds, it took me 2 months but that is fine by me. i hope to keep losing another 10 pounds but i am adding more food so i expect it to slow down, meanwhile i have gone down a size.

Just make up your mind to do this and it will happen for you. Remember, it gets easier the longer you are on it. You have a wonderful thing to look forward to and it will be even greater if you are at your goal weight. You can make it by then if you really want to! - Re: Very cute Lorn!

Thanks for replying. Yeah, I have fallen into the habit of making jokes about my weight - a defence mechanism I think. The other thing I'm looking forward to is that when I board the flight to the Dominican Republic (where we meet the ship)my thighs won't touch those of the people in the seats next to me. Seems a strange thing to focus on but I've always found that particularly embarrassing before.
I have 84 lbs to lose - probably a bit of a tall order in only six months - but no harm in working towards that. What do you think? Lorn - Easy peasy

My first week was not a breeze, but after the first 4 days it gets easier. Remember to drink lots of water as it will help you not get headaches and also keep the hunger to a minimum.

62.215.123.XI am at the beginning of a re-start. I've been going for about 2 weeks now and about 10 pounds gone. Normally one would lose more than that, but I had a couple of slip ups. I am determined to keep pluggin until I get it right though. Every day is a new adventure and learning experience. - Re: So far so good

86.31.39.XWell done you! 10 lbs is great! The most difficult time for me will be Saturday night - that's curry and wine night normally. I will just have to come with something else to occupy my mind.
