My niece saw me this weekend and said "Wow, look at you" so I guess my weight loss is showing,,,but,,,weekends are a slip up, during the week I do great. I will keep trying. Who knows maybe we will both put our pictures on this year. Keep up the good outlook,,,you can do this. (were you a size 8 when you lost your weight the last time?) - Re: You go girl!!

97.117.65.84You'll do it again. I know that once you set a goal, you give it everything and accomplish it so I look forward to those pictures!
Let's hope that this time your new lifestyle will rub off on him and he will want to join you on your quest. Let him eat alone. It will probably make him more aware of his poor choices if he doesn't have you to make it seem ok. Remember Yvonne...Popeye's and Hagen Dazs have both been around a long time and they will still be there in the future. Anything you want to eat so badly right now will still be there when you are through, and if you still want it then (and hopefully you won't) you can have it.
Since men tend to be visual creatures, maybe you should just keep telling him that it is for him too, that you want to be sexy and slim so you can drive him wild! Then just keep hinting at how sizzling your love life would be if you were both healthier and more fit.

68.197.232.59I am cracking up, Pam! After 35 years of marriage, I don't think "sizzle" is the right word. He LOVES me heavy and when I did lose all of the weight last year, he was so protective and actually a pain in the butt.
Oh, no!! This time, I am NOT going there. I am going to find NEW interests and not be so tied to what he thinks or wants. I know that sounds horrible, but I just want to do what "I" want to do and not worry about how it may be interpreted by my hubby. You know what I mean?
I will be returning to my dance lessons on September 8th. My knee is sufficiently recovered enough so that I don't have any more pain and I can put weight on it without wincing. I'm walking around the track about three times a week without any adverse effects. So, I think I am ready to hit the dance floor with a salsa or cha-cha.
Oh, yeah, I have a new outlook on life this time around. I'm not thinking of being a "cougar" but I want to know that if I wanted to, I could do it. - Re: You've done it before...

97.117.65.84Men always want sizzle. Even after 35 years. They are just afraid to ask for it! lol! I know of what I speak because I am now dating all those men that were married for 30 years and are now trying to live out their deepest darkest fantasies that they held in while they were married. 
He probably loves you heavy because it makes him feel safe. He has to know you are unhappy about it so he should want to support you just as he would in any other area of you life that you are wanting to improve. There has to be a reason he sabotages you and I'd bet my last dollar it is to keep you all to himself.
I am all for you doing this for yourself. My suggestion was just to keep him from rocking the boat this time around...and keep the chicken and ice cream out of the house.
This whole cougar thing is looking better and better to me. These 50+ year old men are just as horny and single track minded as they were when they were in their 20's, so if I have to put up with that I might as well get a younger one and have something nice to look at. - YEAH, BABY!!

But, you are absolutely right about sequestering me for himself. Well, I'M COMIN' OUT!!! I am so psyched this time that I can taste it. I have even started back with my Bowflex (which has not been in use since 2006). But, I used it last night and it wasn't so bad.
I'm ready to hit the track at our community park right now. My sneakers await me and so does that dress!
