There's some great songs on it by Willis Alan Ramsey, Kinky Friedman, John Hiatt...John Hadley's song "Blue Eyed Cowboy" is just beautiful, as is "Sweet Allis Chalmers" from fellow Okie Bill Caswell (Kevin sings both of those.) John Arnold shares lead singing with Kevin on this CD and he's really good too...I particularly like his take on Kinky's "Silver Eagle Express." If hearing Kevin's version of "Train to Birmingham" on the Blue Rose Cafe CD doesn't bring you nearly to tears, nothing will. I think it's fabulous. Kevin's voice has a passion and depth on this cd that just blows me away. I listen to it all the time, and never tire of it.
