Having become a tradition since moving back to Florida from Phoenix some 7 years ago, my partner Philip and I recently celebrated my birthday at Walt Disney World, specifically "Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party" event. On select nights during the Halloween season at the Magic Kingdom, the party is held after the park has closed to day guests and is a separately ticketed event. We began our visit with a glorious birthday feast at the "1900 Park Fare" restaurant located inside the Grand Floridian Hotel, a short trip down the Monorail track from the Magic Kingdom.
Stunning Italian marble floors have recently been added throughout the hotel.
A birthday surprise arrives at our table.
My Fairy Godmother grants a birthday wish, and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo we're off to the Magic Kingdom!
(Albeit, via Monorail rather than a pumpkin carriage)

Goofy gets his groove on!
Pluto keeps it popping!
And now on to Toon Town. This area of the park will soon be gone, making way for the MAJOR Fantasyland expansion you have no doubt heard about in the news. It has been said that Mickey and Minnie will have houses located elsewhere in the park. However, it is unclear at this point if they will be moving these houses or building new houses and exactly where they will be located. At any rate, it is likely that this will have been my last visit to Toon Town as construction walls are rumored to start going up later this month. Philip and I are not slated to return until the second week of December, and this area should be blocked off to park guests by then. Farewell Toon Town!

"Alice & Mad Hatter's Treat Party" is a Trick or Treat trail that begins at the back of Toon Town and winds along the side of the park, letting out near Space Mountain, with many candy filled stops along the path.
