There is a saying "bad publicity" is better than no publicity. It DOES have everyone talking about Mattel (not just those who are upset the doll was cancelled but also those who MIGHT have protested such a doll (who knows if anyone actually protested at all or it was just made up by Mattel PR). So what if they tick off a few collectors, they get FREE publicity all over the place with the controversy and people ARE talking about Mattel
