I actually never really loved the fashion, it was so over the top campy, and while I loved the campy name "Sugar Daddy," I was surprised from the get go they'd use that, considering they have their children's playline's reputation to protect, and this kind of reaction from mainstream media seemed inevitable.
However, I love the look of a tan, white blonde Silkstone Ken and hope they manage to keep the doll in the line for this year, but perhaps butched up and redressed under a different name--maybe a plaid shirt and overalls and "Lumberjack Ken" will satisfy the masses, maintain Ken's heterosexual virility, and still please those bear-loving, Barbie-collecting gays!
