Tyler:
I just found about your latest battles with leukemia, and was very sorry to hear that it has returned. I must say, though, that from my perspective, you have faced this whole challenge with phenomenal strength, and you are an inspiration to me and my wife Lisa (who, by the way, was in awe of your documentary--it touched both of us in a profound way). I feel confident to say that I know these trials and how you have approached them has purified and strengthened your soul--it is how we face each moment that counts, and we would all do well to take a lesson from you.
Although you and I didn't get to know each other very well, I wanted to express how much not only you are an inspiration, but how much respect I have for you, and how much I have enjoyed our few encounters and conversations. You truly are a special man, to the core.
Christine Bunker Hammond sent out an email suggesting that we all support you by running in the Columbus Marathon to raise money to fight leukemia. I bought my first ever pair of running shoes today.
You are in my thoughts and prayers, Tyler.
-Dan
