We are honored that the Junior Year in Munich program through Wayne State University in Detroit started a scholarship in memory of Tyler. Students from his class of 2001-02 were inspired by his self-determination, fortitude, and love of life and wanted to extend that challenge from his life to help one student each year who is deserving of the "Tyler's Planet" award. Donations from the first year were used to purchase a trophy which is on display in Munich. Claire Berman (Truman State University), JYM Class of 2003-04 received the first scholarship, and recently Nick Stoller (Miami University of Ohio) received the one for 2004-05. If you would like to contribute to this fund, please go to the JYM website at www.worldbridge.wayne.edu/jym, click on the Alumni tab, and link to Give to JYM. You can download the donation form and there is a line which says "Special Recognition" -- this is where you would indicate "In Memory of Tyler Stutzman." JYM and Tyler's family and friends thank you if you choose to do this.
